To track down the divergence catalyst you’ll need to do some digging. Start by talking to the two men directly in front of you when you teleport in and then head to Duval Station and talk to the two men just past the shops with the red smiley faces. Now that you know what is going on, head south to the Marketplace and talk to Yurgen.

Looks like things are much different in this world since Isla, the woman who betrayed you in the first game and is now sickly, is having a baby in this dimenion.
