How to Unlock and Complete the Castle Kraken Challenge¶

Castle Kraken is a Challenge in Saints Row that will unlock after you complete the mission [The Dustmoot] to unlock the [Castle Kraken] Venture. Establish the aforementioned Venture and this Challenge should unlock. The Castle Kraken Challenge tasks you with completing three objectives:

• Wear a Dustlander outfit.
• Defeat 30 Dustlanders.
• Kill 30 enemies with a Dustlander Sword.

None of these three objectives are difficult, but you’ll likely unlock them at different times simply due to the availability of required items being staggered.

How to Defeat Dustlanders¶

The “Defeat 30 Dustlanders” objective is cake - you’ll almost certainly unlock this while completing the Venture activities for [Castle Kraken], which involves lighting two beacons and defeating waves of Dustlander foes after each beacon is lit. If you somehow don’t complete the challenge then, you have the Missions [The Rod Warrior] and [Unto the Breach] to make up the kills.

How to Find the Dustlander Outfit¶

After you complete [The Rod Warrior] you’ll unlock the Dustlander outfit, which you simply need to equip to complete this objective. It’s a full-body outfit and can be equipped via the “Style” app on your phone.

How to Find the Dustlander Sword¶

Finally, after completing [Unto the Breach] you’ll unlock the Dustlander Sword. Equip it and kill any 30 enemies with it to complete this objective. As with most Challenges you can simply lower the difficulty and/or upgrade your weapons to make grinding this objective much easier. If you need a few targets with minimal fuss and wouldn’t mind making some decent cash while you grind, just find an @TCHA Side Hustle and clear it repeatedly.
