The final substory involving Asakura is substory 46 - A Man Facing The Future. During this battle, you are going to be facing several strong thugs that can take an under-leveled Ichiban down in a few turns. Luckily, you will have Asakura to help you during this final fight. Where to Find Asakura For The Final Time¶
After completing substory 45 - The Final Showdown For Real, you will soon get another text from Asakura. This will start substory 46 - A Man Facing The Future. This time, you aren’t going to be fighting him but aiding him in battle against a group of thugs. You will want to head back to the same spot at Shipper’s Wharf for the fight. You should be strong enough to take down the enemies that hang around in the alleyway. If you’re not, then it’s best that you level up some before starting Asakura’s final substory. You should also note that this substory will start as soon as you get close to Asakura. There’s no prompt to back out of it this time. Bring some healing items with you, as you will be going into the battle with just Ichiban and Asakura as a support.
How to Unlock Asakura as a Poundmate¶
During this battle, you will be taking on six Local Thugs. They will all be at level 43 and will have a chance of attacking Ichiban before he can even move. If you are low-leveled, they will easily wipe Ichiban out before you even have a chance to attack. If you can make it through a round of attacks but have to heal, don’t worry too much. Asakura hits hard, and as long as you can keep Ichiban alive, you will win this battle. If you are able to get in an attack, we highly recommend using ones that target multiple enemies at once. After completing the fight, Asakura will give you the 
Brawler God’s Mouthguard, a powerful accessory that decreases the amount of MP that abilities use. Once the substory is complete, you will gain Asakura as a Poundmate that you can summon into future battles at any time. This will conclude the quest chain for Asakura.
