Beastbane A Wolfskin or Kitsune’s attacks will be extra effective against enemy beast units

Promotes to : Nine-Tails

The Kitsune class is overall very fast with high Resistance, and compared to the Wolfskin has less bulk and less power in exchange for doubling up on enemies and being an effective mage-killer. Beastbane lets you have access to a pseudo Beast Killer, basically, however it strangely does not have effective damage against wyvern units, only against pegasus classes and horse classes. I guess it’s because the wyverns must be undead dragons or something? So they’re not technically “beasts”? Who knows?

Evenhanded will probably slip under your radar since it actives once every other turn, but it’s certainly useful to have. Beastbane is only effective if your Kitsune stays a Kitsune, Wolfskin, Nine-Tails, or Wolfssenger, so be sure to unequip it in favor of other options if you reclass your Kitsune (i.e. Kaden) elsewhere. Note that Conquest has zero means of obtaining a Kitsune, and has a Wolfskin instead.

Overall the Kitsune class line is very strong, especially since the Beaststones are excluded from the weapons triangle. Take note that enemy Kitsune/Wolfskin with Beastbane and enemies wielding Beast Killers will be super-effective against Kitsune!
