Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright

Izana

By
Nathan Garvin

Lord of the Fabulous Leisure.

Archduke of Izumo. Descended from a divine dragon, he is precognitive. Much more relaxed than his appearance suggests, and often surprises his guests. Largest vocabulary in the army.

Primary Class Secondary Class(es)

Magic users in Birthright aren’t necessarily rare, but they are fewer than the melee units, so Izana can fit in nicely into your roster. You can never have too many healers, after all. Izana’s stats are well-balanced for a mage, meaning he isn’t that fragile and can actually take a hit!

Izana has access to classes allowing him to unlock some pretty great offensive and defensive skills. The only real shame is that you can’t recruit him until you upgrade the Hot Springs feature of MyCastle to level 3, which again, similar to Yukimura, doesn’t happen until much later in the game. So you’ll have to baby him a little bit if you want to use him, and he’s likely by then to be outclassed statwise by units like Sakura.
