Twilight Odin (Round 2)¶
Another Man’s Treasure - The black mist on the west side of the map has now subsided. Go there for a rematch against Twilight Odin. After the battle you obtain AF200 VILE PEAKS FRAGMENT - Twilight Fragment Beta (05/08) + 3000CP ! As an added bonus, Twilight Odin joins as a recruitable sidekick(yessss!). He is the strongest COM in the game but requires a lot of upgrading to maximise his potential. It is well worth it though! Additional spoils are: ‘Afterimage’ Gate Seal which enables Time Reversal in AF010 Vile Peaks, and ‘Return’ Gate Seal which enables Time Reversal in AF200 Vile Peaks.
Boss Tips :
Do you still have 2x Lightning Aegis from before? They’ll be useful yet again! Odin retains much of the repertoire from FFXIII, and some of his attacks are lightning-based.
Keep SEN active at all times so that it draws majority of the attacks. Unlike first time, you can debuff Odin with Deprotect, Deshell, Poison, and Imperil right off the bat. In this battle every so often lightning will strike your characters for minor damage, but if you have Lightning Aegis, you’re golden.
Do not prolong the battle for too long, or you’ll eat up double Zantetsuken punishment. While not 100% KO attack, it does inflict huge damage.

Go back towards Dismal Dunescape… hey, a black shadow of a man! Press R1 to reveal him and it’s Sazh. Talk to him for AF200 VILE PEAKS FRAGMENT - Father’s Song (06/08) + 500CP !

On the east plateau talk to Torreno for AF200 VILE PEAKS FRAGMENT - Blitz Squadron Mission Report (07/08) + 500CP ! And finally, there’s the shadow of a certain familiar face… Use R1 to reveal her, and bag AF200 VILE PEAKS FRAGMENT - Words of Light (08/08) + 500CP !
