The game features 13 buffs (positive status changes) and 14 debuffs (negative status ailments).

Buffs are : Bravery, Faith, Haste, Protect, Shell, Vigilance, Veil, Enfire, Enfrost, Enthunder, Enaero, Regen, Reraise.

Debuffs are : Debrave, Pain, Defaith, Fog, Slow, Daze, Deprotect, Deshell, Curse, Poison, Dispel, Imperil, Doom (enemy only), Wound Damage.

You can have up to 8 buffs and/or debuffs applied to one target at once.

Positive Status Changes (Buffs)

Bravery

Effect: Increases target’s STR by 75% for a period of time, increasing physical damage done to enemies. Also affects Ravager’s Strike-type skills. Cannot coexist with Debrave.

Cure: Debrave, Dispel, KO.

Faith

Effect: Increases target’s MAG by 75% for a period of time, increasing magic damage done to enemies. Also affects Saboteur’s skills and increases amount of HP recovered by Medic’s skills.

Cure: Defaith, Dispel, KO.

Haste

Effect: Increases target’s ATBG recharge rate by 33% for a period of time.

Cure: Slow, Dispel, KO.

Vigilance

Effect: Increases target’s success rate of using skills and reduces the likelihood of target’s actions being interrupted bu the enemy for a period of time. Also adds +33% resistance to wounding.

Cure: Curse, Dispel, KO.

Enfire

Effect: Adds ice element to attacks and icnreases ice damage dealth by those attacks for a period of time. Cannot coexist with Enfire, Enthunder, Enaero.

Cure: Enfire, Enthunder, Enaero, Disepl, KO.

Enthunder

Effect: Adds lightning element to attacks and increases lightning damage dealt by those attacks for a period of time. Cannot coexist with Enfire, Enfrost, Enaero.

Cure: Enfire, Enfrost, Enaero, Dispel, KO.

Enaero

Effect: Adds wind element to attacks and increases wind damage dealt by those attacks for a period of time. Cannot coexist with Enfire, Enfrost, Enthunder.

Cure: Debrave, Dispel, KO.

Protect

Effect: Target takes 25% less damage from all physical attacks for a period of time. Cannot coexist with Deprotect.

Cure: Deprotect, Dispel, KO.

Shell

Effect: Target takes 25% less damage from all magic attacks for a period of time. Cannot coexist with Deshell.

Cure: Debrave, Dispel, KO. Veil Effect: Increases target’s status ailment resistance by 50% for a period of time. Cure: Dispel, KO.

Regen

Effect: Gradually restores HP over time for a period of time. Cannot be dispeled, but it dissipates eventually.

Cure: KO.

Reraise

Effect: Revives target from KO with full HP. Cannot be dispeled, but it dissipates eventually.

Cure: KO

Negative Status Changes (DeBuffs)

Debrave

Effect: Reduces target’s STR by 50% for a period of time, reducing physical damage done to enemies. Also affects Ravager’s Strike-type skills. Cannot co-exist with Bravery.

Cure: Bravery, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

DeFaith

Effect: Reduces target’s MAG by 50% for a period of time, reducing magic damage done to enemies. Also affects strength of Saboteur’s spells, and amount of HP recovered by Medic’s spells.

Cure: Faith, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Deprotect

Effect: Reduces target’s resistance to physical attacks by 30% for a period of time, making it far more susceptible to physical damage. Cannot coexist with Protect.

Cure: Slow, Dispel, KO.

Deshell

Effect: Reduces target’s resistance to magic attacks by 30% a period of time, making it far more susceptible to magic damage.

Cure: Shell, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Poison

Effect: For a period of time target takes continuous damage over time at a rate of 1% of MAX HP lost per 3 seconds. Can inflict KO if not treated.

Cure: Antidote, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Imperil

Effect: For a period of time, reduces target’s elemental resistance by one level in following order: absorb -> immune -> resistant -> halves -> normal -> weakness. As for your chrs, they take double damage from all elemental-based attacks.

Cure: Wax, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Slow

Effect: Reduces target’s ATBG recharge rate by 33% for a period of time.

Cure: Esuna, Haste, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Fog

Effect: Seals target’s magic abilities for a period of time.

Cure: Mallet, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Pain

Effect: Seals target’s physical abilities for a period of time.

Cure: Painkiller, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Curse

Effect: or a period of time, causes target’s actions more likely to fail, and increases the likelihood of enemy’s actions not being interrupted by the target. Increases wound damage taken by 33%.

Cure: Holy Water, Vigilance, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Daze

Effect: For a period of time, renders target immobile, halting target’s actions completely. Target sustains double damage from next damaging attack, which also removes Daze.

Cure: Foul Liquid, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Provoke

Effect: For a period of time, affected target will turn its undivided attention solely towards the provoker, relentlessly assaulting it.

Doom

Effect: A counter appears above the chr affected with Doom. Once the counter expires, chr undergoes KO.

Cure: Foul Liquid, Esuna, KO, Remedy, Unicorn Horn.

Wound Damage

Effect: Target’s MAX HP is permanently reduced until end of battle, at which point it returns to its original value. It can also be recovered mid-battle by using Wound Potion. You can lower target’s MAX HP as far as 30% of its original value - so if target’s original MAX HP is 10000 HP, you can reduce it to mere 3000 HP.

Cure: Wound Potion, Phoenix Down. Note that Raise doesn’t remove wounddamage incurred.
