You’ll find a few Beasts on the path near the start of the mission, as well as some demons harassing an elephant after that. Kill them all and you’ll rescue the elephant, who will become an ally of yours, allowing you to ride it. Do just that a path, with it being blocked by a log. Luckily, the elephant you just rescued can break through those logs.
Go right and use your new friend to plow through as many enemies as you can, which include Scorchers and the regular demons. As you will notice, you can go up some stairs (sans the elephant) and spin a Mani Wheel, but be careful of the plethora of enemies that will appear in your way. You can use the explosive urns to hopefully kill one or two, since it’s close quarters.
Spin the Mani Wheel and you’ll see what looks like a bridge forming in the background. Head towards the next objective, ignoring the path with the large gate for now. You won’t be able to bring your elephant into this area, which is strangely quiet and lacking in enemies. Oh well, spin the Mani Wheel and you’ll see some demons spawning.
Fortunately for you, the elephant breaks through and will help out in vanquishing the demons from Shangri-La. Clear the area of them, then bust through that big gate you passed by before. You’ll now be on the bridge and there will be a lot of enemies, so you can either try to kill them all and bust straight through with the elephant.
You’ll be greeted by some more enemies once you get past the bridge, then past that will be a room with a giant statue. Fighting through the enemies, make your way to the top of the room by using the stairs on either side. Go through the doorway and dispatch the final set of enemies before ringing the Bell of Enlightenment.
