Far Cry 4

The Hunt for Rakshasa

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You’ll appear on an island in the middle of some waters, but you can just walk towards the objective, with rocks forming a path for you. It will lead to a door that the tiger will open for you, where you’ll find a Seeker that will net you a special bow, as it can slow down time when you aim and draw back the bow at the same time.

Of course, you can only do this as long as the orange lights on the bow are lit up, which will drain as you use this ability. Thankfully, whenever you’re not using it, the meter will replenish automatically. Note that you only have a limited number of arrows (you can hold up to 60 at a time), but there will be pickups that can give you more, like any normal ammo pickup.

The bow can slow down time as long as you aim and draw the bow back. If you need more arrows, there are quivers all over that will replenish your supply (right).

Anyways, continue forward and you’ll encounter some demons to try out your new bow on, allowing you to join in the fight with your tiger. After clearing them out, keep going until you get outside and see something that looks like a portal, which is actually what it is. Walking into it will teleport you to another area.

Your ultimate goal right now is to get to the floating island with the giant Mani Wheel. You can go take the path on the right to find a portal that will lead you to it. Spin the Mani Wheel to free the temple, then turn right and go into that portal there, watching out for a demon that could be right there as you reappear.

There will be other enemies in the area, including more demons and even a few Scorchers. Take them all out, then head to the door that will lead you inside of the temple. As per the course, kill the demons inside and go upstairs and through the next doorway, where you’ll find a zipline that gets you to the final area.

You will encounter a new enemy type here, which resemble dogs, and you should have seen them inside of the temple (they were dead). They will charge you and once they’re close enough, they will explode, so shoot them before that happens. Also, you can shoot their dead body to make them explode, so you can use those as a trap of sorts.

A lot of demons and the dogs, as well as Scorchers, will be in the area, so take your time and don’t get too crazy. If you feel the need to do a temporary retreat, do just that to heal and let the tiger regenerate its health. As you get closer to the bell, a few more Scorchers will likely spawn. Once the coast is clear, go up to the bell and free it to finish the mission.
