After the initial cutscene, you’ll be in control of your character inside of some building. Feel free to search around for some loot boxes, which will give you cash and an item to sell for more cash. Once you’ve gotten the hang of the controls and felt like you’ve explored everything, go down the stairs and towards the exit, only to run into the Golden Path and Sabal.
They’re here to rescue you, but it seems that Pagan Min’s troops know they’re there. That means you’ll have to escape and Sabal mentions to run straight for the vehicle while they distract Pagan’s army. As soon as the door opens, run straight to the objective marker and get in the vehicle. Enjoy the short ride until you get a gun.
Shoot at any enemies in the way, including the ones right ahead, who are blocking the path. After that, some more will show up riding some quads, so keep firing at them, healing when prompted, until you get rammed from the side by a jeep. Once you regain control of Ajay, you’ll have to trek it to the Golden Path on foot.
Now, there will be three enemies that come from down the stream, so quickly take out your camera and tag them all. Considering all you have is a knife right now, it might be best to avoid a direct confrontation with them. If you do want to kill them, use stealth to your advantage, using the bushes as cover and making sure you separate them by using rocks to distract them.
Killing them also lets you able to grab the AK47 from them, which will be useful in the long run. Either way, continue down the stream and there will be another guy at the end of the path. You’ll be prompted to use rocks here to distract the enemy, so do that to move him to a spot where you can either sneak by or perform a stealth kill.
Before moving on, there’s two enemies standing on a rock on the other side of the lake. If you haven’t alerted anyone yet, then you should be to jump into the lake and swim underwater without attracting their attention. It’s probably best to avoid going after these two and continue to the tower. Along your way, you should see a dead animal, which is marked as an X on your mini-map.
Approach the animal and you’ll get an option to skin it, so do that to get a skin and a piece of bait. Bait can be equipped via the weapon wheel and thrown to attract animals, as well as distract them. Which animal you attract is random, so don’t go thinking you will be getting tigers and bears all the time. Anyways, keep going and skin the second dead animal, then continue until you reach a rock overlooking some enemies below.
Equip the bait via the weapon wheel, then toss it down below to get a bear to show up, who will proceed to tear the enemies apart. Do not hop down yet, as the bear will likely turn its attention towards you. Toss the other bait you have to the left to distract the bear, making it so you can get past him. You’ll come upon an enemy encampment and a small cage straight ahead. Melee the front of the cage and grab the body armor and throwing knives inside.
Make sure you tag the enemies with your camera, noticing the leopard inside of the cage. You can toss a throwing knife at the cage, which will make the leopard break out and start attacking the enemies. It’s likely the leopard won’t be able to kill all of the enemies, but it will thin them down enough to where you can sneak by or kill the rest of them.
There’s nothing in your way now between here and the Bell Tower, so continue towards the objective marker. Jump across the gap and when you reach a cliff, one of the Golden Path members will toss down a rope for you to climb. Do that, then meet up with Sabal and the others at the tower. Make sure you check the one flashing crate to refill all of your ammo, then get ready for an ambush.
Using the low stone wall as cover, keep firing at the enemies until Sabal mentions an avalanche is coming. It doesn’t really matter where you go, so feel free to run back inside and refill your ammo if you want. This will bring an end to the prologue and you’ll be in Banapur, where you can shop and pick up your next two missions.
