There are two types of Energy Mixes in Sons of the Forest, the standard Energy Mix, and the Energy Mix +. These helpful concoctions will help you stay focused when you’re feeling tired, and have nowhere to rest such as caves. By using a combination of the various herbs scattered throughout the world, you can keep yourself awake even if you feel like you’re about to drop. This page will show you how to craft Energy Mix, and Energy Mix + as well as where to find the ingredients.

Energy Mix and Energy Mix + will boost your tired gauge.

Energy Mix Recipe¶

Crafting the Energy Mix only requires two ingredients which are:

• Chicory
• Arrowleaf

The problem with this recipe is finding the Arrowleaf. The Arrowleaf is a small flower with a yellow head. These are a bit harder to find than Chicory which seems to be almost everywhere. The Energy Mix recipe will immediately give you just over a quarter of your tired gauge and a small amount of Stamina.

Where to Find Chicory¶

As stated above, this is arguably the most common plant you will find. It is a small flower with a white head. You can find this plant scattered among the bushes all over the map, but if you want a more specific place to look, follow our map link below. Keep in mind that the spawns may not be there depending on what season you are such as Winter.

Where to Find Arrowleaf¶

A bit more difficult to find, the Arrowleaf is a small flower with a yellow head. You can find it hidden among the grass predominantly on the west side of the map (like most things in the game). If you want a more specific place to look, follow our map links below. Keep in mind that the spawns may not be there depending on what season you are such as Winter.

Energy Mix + Recipe¶

This version of the Energy Mix recipe will give you more energy (almost double). The Energy Mix + recipe will immediately give you just under half of your tired gauge and a medium amount of Stamina. It requires three ingredients this time which are:

• Fireweed
• Devil’s Club
• Chicory

Where to Find Fireweed¶

Fireweed is a long pink flower which is normally hidden within the long grass. There are a few spawns around the map, but keep in mind the season as some plants won’t appear during winter such as Fireweed.

Fireweed can also be found all over the map, but it doesn’t have as many spawns as Chicory.

Where to Find Devil’s Club¶

Devil’s Club is a medium-sized red plant that can be predominantly found on the east side of the map, although there are a couple of spawns on the west. Keep in mind that the season may change, or remove the spawn entirely.
