Map of Paralogue 16

Location Objective
Trading Town Rout the Enemy.

At the start of the battle, you will be given the following warning: “The enemy will send someone out to finish off Forrest as soon as you engage foes - or vice versa. So get as close to Forrest as you can before your first fight.”

The goal of this map is to sneak into the manor as far as you can before engaging the enemy, then rushing to save Forrest before the executioner reaches him. In order to buy ourselves a few turns, we have to get into the manor without drawing enemy attention. Pairing up can help sneak in numerous units in limited spaces through the front entrance. The enemy’s level is dependent on your party’s level, but in general they have tough, heavy armor units with low resistance, so bring magic and possibly Armorslayers .

Once you have your units picked out, we have to decide our method of attack. There is the front entrance, but you could also go along the west wall and break down the wall to get in and attack. Or both. You could send half your forces west and break down the wall, while the other half sneaks in the front. Just be sure you get your attack team in position around the wall before you break it down. The enemy will be able to move a few spaces outside of the wall once broken, so be prepared to take them on.

Sneak your way into the manor and take a few turns to position yourself before you attack, or move into attacking range. Sending a strong unit with ranged attack abilities to draw out the enemy in the main room isn’t a bad idea as long as you are ready to swoop in and pick off the fighters that come. As soon as you engage the enemy (or vice-versa) , they will announce their headsman and the Berserker will appear making this battle a race against the clock. Don’t fret too much, the Berserker will take around 6 turns to get to the damsel(?) in distress.

Fight your way inward and upward but be careful as you head northeast as reinforcements will appear once you enter the eastern section. Continuing killing units with the goal of fighting your way outside the northeast door so you can intercept the Berserker and kill him off. Leave Gazak for last, as he won’t move from his spot and can be dealt with later. You can open the door to Forrest if you wish, but he won’t join us in this battle for whatever reason and won’t even talk with us.

Before you finish Gazak off, make sure you grab the lower chest for 5000G . Defeat Gazak to end this battle.
