How to Solve the Communications Array Puzzle in Dead Space Remake¶
As you first enter the room you’ll notice a number of power lines running along the walls all around you. These connect different comms receivers, some of which are still functioning and others which have been damaged. The damaged ones are marked by an orange power symbol, while the functioning ones appear as grid panels with white lights on them. The lights are arranged in specific ways, and these give a clue as to how you need to place them.
Connect the Receiver Panels to the Central Node¶
The first thing you should do is look at the communication control screen and recognize that it shows a visualization of power from the receivers to the central node. There’s only one receiver currently in the correct position, which is just to the left of the control screen, as shown in the screenshot below. You should leave this receiver here, and remove the damaged one above it, alongside any other damaged receivers which are blocking the route to the central node.
In the simplest of terms, you need to arrange the receivers so that only functioning ones are leading to the central node, on both sides of the control screen. However, there’s an additional step in that you have t place specific receivers in their correct positions, allowing the power lines to connect them properly. There are six functioning receivers which need to be placed in these positions, and one (with the light pattern of a straight line) which is useless for the purposes of this puzzle, so make sure that you gather all of the others, and place them in the positions shown in the screenshot below.

Once you’ve placed each of the receivers in these positions, the comms array will be functioning enough for you to bring it back online, so you can return to the communication control and activate it.
