You’ll see multiple security clearance doors throughout Ishimura.

How To Unlock Security Clearance Level 1 in Dead Space Remake¶

As you’re working your way through Ishimura you’ll notice that Doors will have numbers on them, such as 1, 2 or 3. This can also be seen on the map which makes it easier to know where you’ll need to return to later in the game when you’ve got the Clearance. Additionally, you’ll find Chests and Lockers that will audibly tell you what Clearance is required to open after you’ve interacted with it.

You’ll be granted all three Security Clearance Levels automatically throughout the story. Security Clearance Level 1 is granted to you after obtaining the Captain’s Rig which is located on the Medical Deck in Chapter 2 - Intensive Care.

How To Unlock Security Clearance Level 2 in Dead Space Remake¶

Security Clearance Level 2 is granted to you after speaking with Hammond who is located in the Captain’s Nest in Chapter 4 - Obliteration Imminent. How To Unlock Security Clearance Level 3 in Dead Space Remake¶

Security Clearance Level 3 is granted to you after obtaining the Dallas’ RIG which is located on the Mining Deck that you’ll visit during Chapter 7 - Into the Void.

How To Unlock Master Override in Dead Space Remake¶

Master Override is the highest clearance you can obtain the Ishimura and it’ll allow you unlock rooms/chests that contains extremely useful loot, such Nodes, and Weapons Upgrades. In order to unlock Master Override you’ll need to complete the You Are Not Authorized Side Quest which require you to find all six Rigs. Unfortunately, the final Rig isn’t available until Chapter 10 - End of Days.
