Ending 3 is one of many alternate endings, which you can obtain during a New Game Plus or by using Continue Plus on an existing save file.
How to Obtain Ending 3¶
To acquire this obscure ending, you must defeat the Time Devourer after Kid recovers from being poisoned and before completing Fort Dragonia (Another World).
Unless you had foresight, the chance of you having both Nikki and Razzly is fairly low. Thankfully, it doesn’t take too long to speed through to Viper Manor and Hydra Marshes during a New Game Plus. After obtaining the Hydra Humour, bring it to Doc at Guldove.

Then once Kid recovers, head back to Opassa Beach and use the Time Egg to face the dreaded Time Devourer. If you need help, check the linked page and refer to the method that doesn’t use the Chrono Cross.
At this stage, you have a fair amount of choice for party members. Even Nikki and Razzly should do fine, especially if you crafted some rainbow weapons beforehand. Sadly, you won’t have Glenn to assist you.
Mess up the Time Devourer and you’ll obtain this ending. It’ll begin with Lisa in her Element Shop, similar to Ending 4. But without her extra employee. The next scene will show Nikki and his new recruits performing a concert at Termina. Besides the novelty of seeing a certain someone rocking his instrument, this ending is pretty average for the effort to obtain it.
