Ending 2 is one of many alternate endings, which you can obtain during a New Game Plus or by using Continue Plus on an existing save file.
How to Obtain Ending 2¶
To acquire this surprising ending, you must defeat the Time Devourer after reaching Another World for the first time (maybe slightly earlier), but before entering Viper Manor.
We suggest progressing up until choosing a guide for the manor. Perhaps pick somebody you didn’t recruit before. If you can’t choose, go for Guile or maybe Pierre. Save Nikki for later.

When you’re ready, backtrack to Opassa Beach and use the Time Egg to summon the final boss. For battle tips, please refer to the dedicated page.
Since this is very early in the game, there aren’t many party members to choose from. That said, unlike for Ending 1, at least you have party members! If you crafted suitable rainbow equipment before continuing from your cleared save file, it doesn’t matter too much who you use.
Once the dust settles, you’ll see Serge enjoying life back at Arni Village. Meanwhile, a certain somebody infiltrates Viper Manor alone. From there, things escalate…
