Near the end of Tok’s Kingdom in Blades of Fire, Glinda will tell you that you need to revive and ride Karamuth, the Golem Bird, to continue your journey, but the bird is missing a wing. She’ll tell you she can forge the wing, but she’ll need the materials for it, which are: a Pure Forgers Still Ingot, a Sapphire Butterfly, an Ogre’s Bone, and a Steel Phoenix Feather. Some of these materials can be difficult to find, even with Glinda’s hints, so read on to find out where to find each material.

To progress the story, you’ll need Glinda to forge you a new wing for Karamuth, the Golem Bird.

Sapphire Butterfly Location

Obtaining the Sapphire Butterfly requires getting the Light Rune. Once you have the rune, return to the Ancient Garden Balcony (or Throne Room) in The Crimson Fort and exit the fort via the northwestern bridge. Here, you’ll find some clouds of Sapphire Butterflies, but you won’t be able to pick them up just yet.

Walk into the butterflies and follow their location, where they’ll end up on the ledge, left of the bridge. Drop onto the ledge below, head over to the rock face, and get out your weapon with a Light Rune. This will display some writing that Adso will translate, displaying an entrance into a cave. Head inside and interact with the butterflies to get the Sapphire Butterfly Key Item.

(1 of 3) Go across the bridge outside The Crimson Fort to find clouds of blue butterflies. Eventually, they’ll lead you to the circled location.

Forger’s Steel Ingot Location

The Forger’s Steel is located in the Rogg’s Lair near Koko’s Hollow anvil. To get to Koko’s Hollow, take the zipline down from Dhyrias’ Forge to Lava Temple, and then take the zipline down from there to Koko’s Hollow. When you reach Koko’s Hollow, follow the path north, and about halfway, you’ll be able to enter the lair to the right.

Go inside, and you’ll hear someone calling for help. Go up the ramp and around the edge to find a girl trapped in a cage. Open the cage, and you’ll get a short scene where some Roggs come crashing through the boarded wall. Deal with them, go through the newly opened hole in the wall, and open the chest to get the Ingot.

(1 of 3) Head north from Koko’s Hollow and turn right into the Roggs’ Lair,

Ogre Bone Location

The Ogre Bone is the easiest item to acquire from the list. Simply locate Tok, who should be in the Light Rune area near Aran and Adso’s Camp anvil (first forge in Tok’s Kingdom). Fast travel to the anvil and follow the ledge opposite it to the north to find the Light Rune.

Equip a weapon containing the Light Rune and let Adso do his thing to open up a new area. This will lead to all sorts of treasure you couldn’t get before, but for now, head over to Tok, who’ll be sitting on his throne opposite the entrance. Speak to him, and he’ll give you the Ogre Bone.

(1 of 2) Go to the Light Rune area north of the Aran and Adso’s Forge.

Go to the Light Rune area north of the Aran and Adso’s Forge. (left), Head inside, talk to Tok, and he’ll give you an Ogre Bone. (right)

Phoenix Feather Location

Get this item last, as you’ll need to speak to Glinda about it, and she’s the one who’ll craft the Phoenix Wing anyway. Glinda will be in Dhyrias’ Forge at this point in the story. Head through the forge and go through the gap in the wall at the back of the area.

Climb up the crab’s leg, enter the hut, and then speak to Glinda about the Phoenix Feather. She’ll remember that she has one on her person and hand it over to you. This will complete the list of items needed to forge the Phoenix Wing.

Talk to Glinda about the Phoenix Wing, and she’ll give you the Phoenix Feather.

Once you’ve obtained all the materials, head back to Glinda in Dhyrias’ Forge and hand them to her. After a short scene, she’ll forge and attach the wing to the Golem Bird, and you’ll be on your way.
