Avowed lets you get creative with combat encounters. The right gear lets you summon allies to distract enemies as you take them out. Finding the Dead Man’s Mail Treasure Map¶
Head northwest from the Sand Sea Oasis fast travel point towards the Great Sand Sea. Near the “S” in the word “Sea” on your map, you’ll find some tents. One of them has a skeleton inside. You’ll find some loot near the body and one of these items is the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map. The sketch points to an area near the Shark’s Teeth.
Locating the Dead Man’s Mail¶
Teleport to the fast travel point near Tago’s Tower and head east. Once you reach the point indicated on the first map, turn around and you’ll see the exact location as shown on the sketch. To reach the spot marked on the sketch, you’ll need to go forward and climb a collapsed pillar. Doing so will let you land near the treasure chest. Open it with 3 lockpicks and you’ll find the Necropants alongside some crafting materials. In addition to helping you resist Poison accumulation by 30%, this item also summons a Spectre that will target nearby enemies. That wraps up the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map quest in Avowed.
