The Totem of Rightful Rulership will take you on a relic hunt across Dawnshore in Avowed. While it’s no simple task to decode vague hints to find seven pieces of the totem, they’re well worth the effort. Put them back together in your camp and you’ll gain powerful buffs like stat boosts and cooldown reductions. Here’s a detailed walkthrough of the Totem of Rightful Rulership quest in Avowed, complete with the location of every God Totem fragment.

Starting the Totem of Rightful Rulership Quest¶
While picking up any fragment triggers this quest, it’s best to get started at Sanza’s Emporium in Paradis. Sanza can be found at Hightown and he’ll sell you a bunch of hints for 500 coins. These will point towards the relics with vague clues but won’t mark them on your map. Don’t worry, the maps below will help you get them quickly. The enhancements they offer will help you extinguish the Dreamscourge plague.

Broken Crown Jewel¶
“This golden crown’s stolen gem, can be found in the emporium.”
The first relic can be obtained right after you start the quest with Sanza. At his emporium in Hightown, head to the wooden door on the left. The Broken Crown Jewel will be sitting on a desk here. While Sanza scolds you, he won’t take any further action.

Golden Scale of Justice¶
“Overlooking booths where goods are sold, this balcony leads to order’s hold.”
This relic can be obtained within Paradis as well. Head to the Pearl District (north of the Eastern Paradis Gate Beacon) and walk to the Apothecary. Here, you can climb the red wall to the left. Do so and keep moving forward until you find some wooden scaffolding. These platforms lead to a balcony you can jump into. Clear the webs with a fire grenade or Kai’s ability and descend into the room. Beat the Phantoms and you’ll find the Golden Scale of Justice near a collapsed bookshelf.

Golden Plaque of Promises¶
“Beneath an amethyst light on high, this shining plaque draws sailors’ eyes.”
Head to the Lighthouse west from Claviger’s Landing to get this item. Start climbing through the wooden platforms and you’ll eventually find a hole in the wall. Go inside to find the Golden Plaque of Promises on the staircase.

Golden Scale of Order¶
“In Dwarven halls ‘neath mountain shroud, the Strangler’s justice can still be found.”
To find this relic, head east from the Overgrown Expanse Party Camp towards the Pargrun Cache at the northwest end of Dawnshore. Here, you’ll find a wall with red explosive barrels near it. Destroy them and you’ll gain access to the building. Keep ascending and you’ll encounter some light resistance in the form of awakened skeletons. Once you loot the stash near the top of the building, climb the wooden scaffolding and head towards the hole in the wall. Here, you can keep climbing to find a bird’s nest with the Golden Scale of Order.

Golden Plaque of Oaths¶
“Below death’s grip so icy and cold, await ancient oaths cast in gold.”
To get the next relic, head over to Usher’s Hand to the east of Paradis. You can get here by walking south from the Gods’ Gate Beacon. Break the metal grate with an ice grenade or frost weapon and jump down to find the Golden Plaque of Oaths.

Golden Flames¶
“Atop the isle of wicked outlaws, flicker golden flames of glorious cause.”
To get to the Golden Flames, head to Castol’s Folly to the southeast of Paradis. Keep sprinting through the path that leads higher up the island. You might run into smugglers but they don’t pose much of a threat. After taking them down, you’ll find yourself near the remnants of a tower. Head left here and you’ll find a path that takes you right to the Golden Flames.

Scales of the Oathbinder Totem Core¶
“The Burned Queen’s totem patiently waits amidst ruins of the heathens she hates.”
The totem core that stores all your fragments can be found in the Shrine to Woedica to the northeast of Dawnshore. Once the domain of the Godless people, it has been repurposed into a shrine. Head north from The Rise Party Camp to get there quickly. Walk up to the altar and you’ll see the core glowing orange. Get it back to camp and you’ll gain perks for every fragment you collect. That covers all the fragments you need for the Totem of Rightful Rulership in Avowed.
