The final totem you can piece together in Avowed is the Totem of Perseverance. By tracking down the God Totem fragments scattered across the Galawain’s Tusks region, you’ll gain neat perks that can help you take down some difficult foes in the Garden. Read on to learn where you can find clues to these locations and how you can get there fast.
(1 of 4) Complete the totem to get neat buffs.
Starting the Totem of Perseverance Quest¶
Get the Fragments of the Spoils clues from Quartermaster Yorgu at Solace Keep. While you need to speak with Warden Kosmin to gain entry into the keep, bringing your companion Marius along simplifies things. As you enter Solace Keep, you can meet Yorgu to the right of the large statue in the center of the hall. Purchase these clues from him for 500 coins. While this won’t mark the specific locations for you, the clues are pretty helpful. If you don’t want to crack these puzzles, simply follow the maps below to get all the fragments.
Totem of Perseverance Fragment Perks¶
Here are all the buffs you can gain by completing the Totem of Perseverance:
- Quarry to Slaughter: Increases damage to prone enemies by a massive 75%.
- Bloodied Hands: Critical hits deal high Bleed accumulation to foes.
- Hunting Howl: Second Wind casts Barbaric Shout automatically.
- In Victory’s Raiment: Killing a foe gives you +4% damage reduction for 10 seconds.
- The Changeling’s Power: Gain +2 Might, +2 Constitution.
- On Victory’s Heels: Killing a foe gives you +2% move speed for 10 seconds.
(1 of 3) The Shrine to Galawain has the totem core.
The Huntermaster’s Spoils Totem Core¶
“Where fungal forest halts, among the ruins the Changeling’s totem exalts.”
The totem core that activates the fragments you collect can be found at the Shrine of Galawain. It’s to the northeast of Twinedwood and you can get here quickly from the Twinedwood fast travel point. As you head towards the point marked on the map, you’ll run into two ogre minibosses near the shrine. Dodge their blows and whittle down their stamina bars to land powerful hits. Be wary of the weaker enemies that will try to divide your attention. Once you defeat them, climb the staircase to find more steps that lead to a podium. You’ll find The Huntermaster’s Spoils sitting on this podium.
(1 of 3) Go near the Bridge to the Garden.
Antler of the Persevering Stag¶
“Below a bridge above the acid sea, the first of the elk’s remains shall be…”
The first fragment can be found near the bridge to the Garden. You’ll run into this location during the Our Dreams Divide Us Still quest where you’ll have to find Steel Garrote troops stationed here. Head to the position marked on the map and you’ll end up near a bridge. Look down and you’ll spot a corpse on a lower ledge. Descend and get to the corpse to find the Antler of the Persevering Stag lying next to the body.
Antler of the Pursued Stag¶
“Past disused tower guarding lava fields, by stone and bramble this antler is revealed.”
This fragment is rather tricky to find. The Primordial Depths North Beacon and the Lost Village fast travel point are the closest to it. If you opt for the former, head north until you run into a river of lava. You’ll need to head west from the Lost Village to reach the same point. From here, jump past the lava to reach a cave. You’ll need to fend off some spiders but they won’t pose much of a threat. Once you head into the chamber with lava flowing through it, create an opening by burning the brambles above you with a fire grenade or Kai’s ability.
Climb the rocky outcrops and exit the tunnel to reach the Pargrun Cache. Head straight and you’ll run into wall marked with xaurip prints. There’s an illusory wall glowing purple next to it. Ask Yatzli to clear it and head inside. Burn the brambles once more to find the Antler of the Pursued Stag. Don’t leave the area just yet though as there’s another fragment nearby.
(1 of 3) Do not try going right from the Lost Village beacon.
Hunter’s Arrows of Surviving¶
“The final shafts you shall seek in a silent village where spirits still shriek.”
This fragment can be found right after getting the Antler of the Pursued Stag. Don’t try going here right from the Lost Village beacon as there’s no direct path to it. From the Pargrun Cache, head left and climb the rock ledges. Once you get to the top, you’ll spot a ruined building southeast of your location. Head inside to find the Hunter’s Arrows of Surviving on a table inside this structure.
(1 of 3) Go to the Ash Forest Outpost.
Wolf’s Pelt Trophy¶
“The lupine pelt will heed your call, on ashen tower where the sky did fall.”
The next fragment lies in the Ash Forest Outpost to the west of the Ash Forest. Use the Ash Forest Beacon near the northwest side of Galawain’s Tusks to get here. As you head towards the Ash Forest Outpost, you’ll find rock ledges on the left side of this structure. Use these to go all the way to the top to find the Wolf’s Pelt Trophy near a great hammer and some crates. Alternatively, enter the Outpost and jump on a rock to reach the roof via a gaping hole. Just watch out for the electric trap that will drain your health.
(1 of 4) Go to the Mt Forja Summit for the next fragment.
Hunter’s Arrows of Seeking¶
“Near the founder’s head these arrows find, out of view where he is blind.”
The Hunter’s Arrows of Seeking can be found near the Mt. Forja Summit. The main quest Our Dreams Divide Us Still will take you to this spot. Once you beat a powerful boss here, you’ll be able to walk along the side of the summit. Do so and you’ll find the fragment near a chest.
(1 of 4) Reach the Slumbering Fields via fast travel.
Hunter’s Arrows of Slaying¶
“In the fallen spire amidst fields of slumber, a wooden trio waits to be discovered.”
The final fragment lies to the north of the Slumbering Fields. There’s a fast travel point here that will make it easier for you to grab it. Teleport here and go north towards the arches with glowing mushrooms around them. Keep following them until the third arch and then turn right. You’ll see a massive root on rocky terrain. Climb the rock platforms and you’ll find yourself in a small chamber that holds the Hunter’s Arrows of Slaying. Now bring all the fragments back to camp and complete the Totem of Perseverance for some solid buffs. That wraps up the task of securing all of Galawain’s Tusks’ God Totem fragments in Avowed.
