Desperate times call for desperate measures, and with the Thousand Sons having erected a Silver Tower that keeps Imurah from being disturbed, extremely unorthodox tactics are called for. The source is a bit surprising, however - Gadriel, of all people, concocts a scheme to ram the Silver Tower with a decommissioned Battle Barge, the Sword of Atreus. Given the stakes, even an irreplaceable spacecraft isn’t too high of a price to pay… but the moment isn’t so serious as to preclude taking a diversion to search for some collectible Dataslates! This page will help you find all the Dataslates in the first Operations mode mission, Fall of Atreus in Space Marine 2.

Fall of Atreus Dataslates¶
As far as Dataslates go, this is a pretty conventional Operations mode mission with fairly easy to identify locations for the collectibles you seek, as well as obvious points of no return to avoid until you’ve found them. Punish heresy through the level until you find a buddy Dreadnought to assist you, parting ways when the walking coffin holds open a door for you. After this you’ll need to complete a holdout objective while a crane opens up a hole for you to drop down, complicated only by some generators you need to activate midway through.
Once the crane unblocks the hole, drop down onto some crates, then drop down again to find yourself in a chamber near a weapon loadout pod. Search behind the crates to find the first Dataslate near a Tech-Priest. The crane, crates and weapon loadout pod should make this a hard chamber to miss - as long as you don’t drop down another hole until you find the Dataslate, you should be golden.
The first Dataslate is a fair ways into the mission, and the second isn’t far behind. Drop down ito a hole after you get the first Dataslate and fight your way through some mines until you reach a large excavation chamber with a multi-level mining rig within. Go up five ramps - two concrete, three metal - then turn left and around a corner to find the second Dataslate on some crates. At the top of the mining rig is a terminal that opens some doors - cross through these doors and you’ll miss your shot at this Dataslate.
Dataslate 01: Unauthorized Override Attempt¶
The beginning of this mission starts out uneventfully enough - you’ll need to slog through ruins, mines and archeological sites (not mutually exclusive), banishing Thousand Son enemies as you go. Eventually you’ll rendezvous with a Dreadnought, starting the aptly named objective “Follow the Dreadnought”. Sadly you’ll be forced to part ways when the Dreadnought holds a door open for you.
Enter the ruins and the objective “Clear the Passage” will begin, where you’ll need to interact with a terminal to start a holdout segment. Defend the area as a crane lifts debris out of a hole, stopping to activate two generators to avoid losing progress, and once you’ve successfully completed the objective you’ll need to drop down a hole. Drop onto some crates, then into a chamber where you’ll need to dispatch some Thousand Sons. Do so, then circle around behind where the crates you fell on earlier are stacked to find this Dataslate on the ground, near the corpse of a Tech-Priest.
All in all this should be a pretty easy Dataslate to find - after you drop down the hole vacated with the help of the crane, you should be looking for it. After dropping off the crates you’ll be near a weapon loadout pod, so this is a fairly notable chamber. To advance you’ll need to drop down another hole, and if you do so before getting the Dataslate, you’ll need to replay the mission to get it.
Dataslate 02: Status: Battle Barge, Sword of Atreus¶
Following the first Dataslate, you’ll need to drop down more pits until you reach some mines, then fight your way through Thousand Sons to reach a large subterranean chamber, filled with a multi-story mining rig. Head down a slope, cross a bridge, then go up two concrete ramps, then three metal ramps. After ascending a third metal ramp, a fourth will beckon - ignore it and instead turn left and head around a corner to find this Dataslate on some crates.
All things considered, these two Dataslates are pretty close together, depending on enemy waves. After this you’ll need to ascend the mining rig and use a terminal to open a door, beyond which you’ll be reunited with your buddy, the Dreadnought. It’s easy to avoid missing this Dataslate - don’t use the terminal to open the doors until you have it and you’re good. If you end up at the Mechanicus Compound, you’ve gone too far.
