How to Recover Health and Armour in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2¶
You are an Ultramarine. You are the Emperor’s frontline forces, capable of defeating countless hundreds of foes single-handedly. Despite such overwhelming power through augmentations, the Tyranid masses can and often will overwhelm your position and leave you hurting. But the fight isn’t over yet, not for the Space Marines. You can recover health and armour to keep pushing the Xenos back, and here’s how!
Recovering Health¶
As you take damage and your armour breaks, your health begins to deplete. But Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 offers a forgiving health regeneration system. You essentially have two health bars, and if you can avoid taking additional damage, your health will regenerate a significant amount. You can tell by the bright red and dark red bars on your HUD. When the dark red bar appears beneath the bright red health bar, avoid taking damage to regain the length of the secondary bar.
If you do take damage while in this state, you cannot automatically regenerate your health unless you use Medicae Stimms. You can find these throughout the map, and you have enough inventory space to carry two simultaneously. A single one will not completely refill your health bar, so use them wisely and sparingly.
To use Medicae Stimms, you must hit on keyboard or on a controller.
Recovering Armour¶
To avoid having to use your Medicae Stimms, you can recover armour by dealing enough damage to enemies to draw them into a vulnerable state. You can tell by their flashing red aura. Once they enter this state, approach the enemy and activate your finishing move with on the keyboard or on a controller.
Depending on the enemy, your finisher may fill the entirety of your armour or a partial amount, which is usually enough to keep you in the fight. Furthermore, it’s wise to use your finishing move to take a breather for a few seconds and gain your composure, as you’re completely invincible in this state.
