The Mystery House, despite its name, is more of a gauntlet that features a series of small challenges. You will have a time limit for each challenge, and upon completing each one, you will gain a Green Star. There will be five challenges in this Mystery House, with the focus being on defeating enemies in each room, meaning you will be able to get another five Green Stars to your total. You will have 10 seconds in each room to defeat the enemies, as well as collect the star.

- Green Star #1 - Defeat two Galoombas
- Green Star #2 - Defeat two Koopa Troopas
- Green Star #3 - Defeat two Cat Goombas
- Green Star #4 - Defeat four Conkdors (try to use a Fire Flower or Super Bell)
- Green Star #5 - Defeat two Fire Bros
