Outriders Worldslayer

Omen mod

By
Craig Robinson

There are plenty of new weapons and mods added to Outriders Worldslayer, adding new ways to compliment a build you’re running in the expansion. One of the more prominent mods in the new expansion is the Omen, which compliments almost every build and playstyle. Let’s take a look at Outrider’s Omen mod, shall we?

An example of how you want to use the Omen mod in Outriders Worldslayer.

The Outriders Omen mod

The Outriders Omen mod was added to the game in Worldslayers. The aim of the mod is to add yet another new method of inflicting the bleed status onto enemies. In addition, it comes with a nice damage buff that is great for any build that uses the mod.

Omen Outriders Worldslayer Screenshot Shots launch a cover-piercing Anomaly projectile that inflicts bleed. It deals damage and applies a status effect that increases damage received by 10% for 3 seconds. It has a four-second cooldown.

The mod is a mixed bag of tricks, as it allows players to gain a flat damage increase for their build for a few seconds. For the most part, it is not too great for long winding rotations, but for those who are using firepower builds, this is a solid addition. It’s also great for any status debuff builds, such as a Technomancer’s firepower and status debuff build.

The Omen mod is also great for any Devastator build in the game. The reason why is thanks to the bleed mechanic the class has, as the Devastator can heal from bleeds, adding to their survivability. If you’re running a bleed build, dont forget to take the Tainted Blood or Bloody Boost armor mods for the bonus damage against bleeding targets. That also ramps up the damage with your Omen damage boost, too!

How to get the Omen mod

As it stands, the only legendary weapon with Omen guaranteed on it is the Mythos legendary weapon. The gun is freshly added in the Worldslayer expansion and is the only source of the mod in a pre-set state.

However, there are other ways you can get the Omen mod. The new Apocalypse system allows you to gain a random third slot mod on your weapon. If you’re lucky, you may find a weapon that will become an apocalypse weapon, containing the exact mod. When you do get it, feel free to mod it out of your weapon or dismantle it to add Omen to your mod library.

You should now have your very own Omen mod, ready to slot into a weapon of your preference. Ideally, you can link it up with a mod like Fortress, as these are some of the best weapon mods in Outriders to further your damage boost against a target.
