Outriders Worldslayer

How to get Drop Pod Resources

By
Ben Chard

Outriders Worldslayer is the new expansion to Outriders that was released on June 30th, 2022. One of the many new features of this expansion is the new Legendary Gear sets that encourage you to seek out more drops. In order to upgrade them, you’ll need Drop Pod Resources, which this page focuses on.

What are Drop Pod Resources?

First and foremost, just what are Drop Pod Resources in Outriders? These are not actually new to Worldslayer, these were the original endgame resource that you would earn from running Expeditions during the Endgame. With the release of Worldslayer, however, and more Legendaries added to the pool, this resource is more important than ever, and you may be wondering how you go about farming it.

Additionally, you’ll also need Drop Pod Resources to begin Expeditions in the first place, or you can use them to trade with Tiago (or the Supply Bench) for Legendary gear or roll a random one from a pool that you’ve yet to obtain. There are many uses for Drop Pod Resources, making them a vital resource during the Worldslayer endgame.

Trade with Tiago

The easiest, and quickest method, provided you have ample Titanium, is to simply trade with Tiago at camp for Drop Pod Resources. If this is your first time doing this, you may have trouble looking for where this option is. Head to Tiago at any camp (or the Supply Bench at the Trial of Tarya Gratar) and go to the Sell tab and select Titanium (not Drop Pod Resources!). Here, you’ll be able to sell your Titanium at a rate of 1 Titanium for 2 Drop Pod Resources, a fair trade to be sure.

You can sell your Titanium at Tiago in exchange for Drop Pod Resources.

Run the Trial of Tarya Gratar

The Trial of Tarya Gratar is the new endgame activity once you conclude the Worldslayer campaign. You’ll run through chambers of differing difficulty but ultimately, throughout the entire run, you’ll have ample opportunities for Drop Pod Resources, such as from the Troves at the end of a chamber. You’ll probably find that this is the method you use to acquire most of your Drop Pod Resources, even if it’s arguably the slowest out of the three as you’ll be running this activity for the loot drops such as new Legendary Apocalypse gear, the main goal of Worldslayer.

Heading to the Trial of Tarya Gratar will provide ample opportunities for Drop Pod Resources.

Replay Expeditions

The final method is the one that most longtime players have already been doing for a while now, and that’s to continue farming Expeditions from the base game. Unfortunately, Worldslayer didn’t add any new Expeditions in the new areas (we’re hoping for this to come in an update at some point) so you’ll have to settle for the old areas.

The good news here is that Drop Pod Resources are far more plentiful here than in the new Trial of Tarya Gratar Endgame. You’ll also be able to continue raising your Apocalypse Tier here along with earning Ascension Points, so you’ll be knocking out several objectives at once.

As always, Expeditions remain a great way to obtain those Drop Pod Resources.
