Key Attacks¶
Claw Stomp : The Stygian Zinogre turns to face the hunter and then stomps forward two paces.
Shoulder Barge : The Stygian Zinogre turns on its side, looking towards the hunter, before slammings its entire body towards them.
Dragon Balls: The Stygian Zinogre uses its tail to ‘throw’ four red and black orbs around itself. These float, stationary for a while, before launching themselves directly at the hunter’s position.
Thunder : When at full charge the Stygian Zinogre will howl to the sky, summoning thunder strikes in a wide radius around its body.
Stygian Thunder : While the Stygian Zinogre is walking around thunder will randomly strike its circumference.
Recommended Strategy¶
The Stygian Zinogre’s projectiles and Stygian Thunder naturally dissuade the hugging tactic that works so well against its blue brethren, and if any monster has been best fought through ranged means, it’s the Stygian Zinogre.
Careful hit and run tactics are about all you can do against the Stygian, making sure you’re always ready to run in case he brings out the projectiles.
Sleep and bomb tactics would go amiss either (put to sleep and place a large bomb and small bomb by his face). Don’t forget Shock Traps either, now that they’re effective again.
