Diablos isn’t named “Diablos” for nothing. It is the devil of the sands, demolishing anything that so much as pokes it the wrong way with its impressive set of curled horns. A very charge-happy creature, hunters should very much mind those horns when attacking Diablos. Diablos can only be fought in G Rank, making it one of the few normal monsters that you cannot encounter in the lower ranks.

Attacks
Sonic Roar: Unlike Tigrex, Diablos’s sonic roar will not hurt you. But it will keep you in place for a while unless you have High Grade Earplugs, and will leave you open to attack.
Charge: This is the attack Diablos will be performing most often, and hits the hardest. Diablos will duck its head and run towards you, rapidly gaining momentum, and run you through with its horns. If you make it charge towards a cliff and then dodge out of the way, you can get Diablos stuck for some free hits.
Side Chomp: Like all other Flying Wyverns, Diablos can perform this silly, negligible attack. When Diablos performs this often, it is an indicator that it is getting tired.
Tail Swing: Diablos will look back at you and then swing its tail heavily into the ground to the left and the right. It has a surprisingly large range.
Tail Whip: Diablos, with its club-like tail, has a pretty deadly double 180 tail whip. Unlike other Flying Wyverns with higher placed tails, Diablos’s tail is constantly weighed down by that axe.
Hipcheck: Diablos will turn to face you, then jab its hip out to the right side. It looks like Capcom just can’t ever seem to get hitboxes right with hipchecks. If you see this coming, just stay away.
Horn Gore: Diablos will step forward and toss its head violently upwards to the left and right, goring you with its horn. This does massive damage and sends you flying. Its tail will also send you flying, but it doesn’t do nearly as much damage as its horns.
Burrowing Tackle: Diablos will tunnel underground into the sand, then come bursting out from beneath you. Fairly easy to see coming, and the best way to dodge is to just run around like a headless chicken as fast as you can.
Burrowing Charge: Diablos will tunnel underground into the sand, then burst out and immediately chain it into a charge.
Breakable Parts
Horn: Horns can be broken twice, and have to be broken twice if you want horns as rewards.
Back: Back can be broken once. Visibly damaged and chipped. The best way to get this break is by mounting and toppling multiple times.
Tail: Tail can be severed and carved, just like other tails.
Weaknesses
