Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Ioprey

By
Vincent Lau

Ioprey are the minions of the much larger alpha Iodrome. Similar to Iodrome, Ioprey make themselves nuisances by utilizing poison abilities to hamper your hunt. Ioprey will appear independently of Iodrome in many areas, but will most commonly be seen when summoned by Iodrome.

Areas : Primal Forest, Heaven’s Mount, Volcanic Hollow

Attacks

Jump Bite: Ioprey will jump at you and try to bite. This will cause you to fall backwards onto your butt, and can be annoying when you’re in the middle of fighting a boss monster, but is otherwise nothing to worry about.

Poison Spit: Similar to Remobra, Ioprey will spit poison at you. This has a larger range than Remobra’s poison spit, however, and can be fatal if you are getting mobbed and either didn’t bring Antidotes or run out of them. If you can, clear the Ioprey out of the area, or just keep an eye on them as you are doing your other business.
