One of the Bird Wyverns, Great Jaggi is also one of the smaller boss monsters you will face, and is also one of the easiest. With a low HP threshold and weak attacks, along with a lack of a special elemental affinity, Great Jaggi is a great monster to both practice on and make armor out of whenever transitioning from rank to rank. Characterized by its large size compared to the smaller, immature Jaggi and the female Jaggia, Great Jaggi also possesses a majestic frill distinguishing it as alpha of the pack.

Attacks
Frontal bite: Great Jaggi will step forward and attempt to bite you. Roll or run to the side to evade this attack.
Sideswipe bite: Great Jaggi will step to the side and sweep his head around to bite you. This attack can be a bit harder to dodge. Position yourself away from the direction he is sweeping his head in.
Tail whip: Great Jaggi will whip his tail through the air, twice, 180 degrees each for a full rotation. As he steps around, his tail can send you flying. Stay away.
Hipcheck: Great Jaggi’s hardest hitting attack, although that is not saying much, is his rather annoying hipcheck. It has an incredibly obvious tell: He will turn so that the side of his body faces you instead of the front, and then he’ll just try to ram into you. He will sometimes perform it many times successively. Just stay clear until he’s done.
Minion making: This attack does no damage but can make the fight more annoying. Great Jaggi will howl into the air to summon his underling minions, Jaggi and Jaggia, into the area to distract you. He can be flinched out of this attack so as he’s busy howling, wail on him.
Breakable Parts
The Frill: Aim for the head to break his frill. His frill will appear tattered afterwards.
