This is a guide for the second area in Tommy’s Dam in The Last of Us: Part 1. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding Ellie.
Joel finds Ellie hiding in the Ranch house.

Where To Find Ellie¶
Unfortunately, Ellie decided to disappear after she found out Joel’s plans, so take the horse and follow the path along until your path gets blocked by several enemies. Keep in cover and take out the enemies further away with the Hunting Rifle, then take out the nearby enemies with the Shotgun. After the area has been cleared, take a look in the building for some Arrow x1 and Rag x1.

Return to the horse and continue following the path ahead until you reach the Ranch. Enter the house and inspect the first floor for some Supplements x10, Sugar x1, Rag x1, Shotty Ammo x4 and the Firefly Pendant - Bren Pino, then go upstairs and search the bedroom for the Zero Point Comic. Search the other upstairs rooms for Blades x1, Binding x1 and Alcohol x1.
Approach the room at the end of the hallway to find Ellie, then you’ll get ambushed by some more Bandits. The easiest way to deal with them is to stand at the top of the stairs and take out the enemies with the shotgun as they attempt to come up. Finally, leave the area on horseback to bring the Tommys Den portion of the game to a close.
