Overall description

Solar is fast paced map in which rooms are connected by large open areas. SMGs are not recommended due to their lack of range so bring in your favorite AR (HBRa3 or BAL27) and time to start chaos in this map. The central area is a really open area that only has a pipe connecting it to the northern side of the map. To both east and west there are rooms where people like to camp and both of these connect to the central open area so its a good place to take out people running across.

The north and south are mostly open areas that connect both ends of the map, although the northern side has a little room and has cover, unlike the south side.

Action areas

The areas where all the action mostly take place are (non-objective game types like Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch/Kill Confirmed):

  • The north side of the map is where most people hang out. Although its a semi-open area, thee’s plenty of cover and ways to get here. There are two ways coming from the east, three more coming from the central area and two more when coming from the west. It’s recommended to jump up the rooftops (mainly the one on the western building) because almost no one gets up here but you have an incredible line of sight of almost the entire area.
  • The rooftop of the building on the west side of the open area is also a pretty popular spot. You a complete line of sight of the central area plus you can see inside the building to the far east and people jumping from the north. A really powerful spot but a very weak one at that as well. There is no cover up here and you are exposed to the map, mostly to those coming from the northwestern corner of the map so don’t think you’re safe up here. Only get one or two really quick kills and get down before you get killed.

Hardpoint

The following is a list of the hardpoints in the map and how to approach each one:

  • A deathtrap that sits in the center of the map. The best way to approach this hardpoint is by the pipe in the center of it or by the opening in the wall to the south. Other than that, you’ll get shot from everywhere.
  • Using the same pipe to approach the previous hardpoint you can use it to reach the second hardpoint, which is the best and less dangerous way to get here.
  • Safest way to get in here? None really but coming in the little room to the southeast of the hardpoint is best than the rest of the entrances. Just be careful of the enemies in the corners and those on top of the little room.
  • Going through the room in the center is the best way to get in here. Note that its equally hard by going through the room but its less risky because you have enemies coming from only one place.
  • This little room has four ways to get in here. The sides are really dangerous because the enemies usually come in from here. What you can do however is get on the corridor to the south, take out the enemies through the openings and jump down to the hardpoint.
