While it is good to start off small to keep things manageable it is inevitable that you are going to need to expand your Campus sooner rather than later.
Each Map comes with extra plots in the vicinity that you can buy up for your University and then build on to increase the number of rooms and courses that you can offer the Students.
Each new plot comes at a cost so, for starters, you will need to make sure you have the funds to cover the purchase.
Something else to bear in mind is that a new plot of land is not necessarily an instant answer if your students are crying out for a new facility. It actually takes a period of time to purchase and clear the land ready for your use, so the best thing to do is to plan ahead and try to buy new Plots of land during the Summer Break at the end of the year so that the work can be carried out while the students are all at home living off their poor parents instead of fending for themselves.
Ultimately you will probably end up purchasing all available plots of land but you should remember to pace yourself. The more building and staff you need to occupy them, the greater the monthly cost and effect on your bottom line, so don;t expand faster than you need to, as it will, conversely, slow down your progress.
How to purchase a new plot of land in Two Point Campus¶
In order to extend your Campus boundaries, you need to decide where you want your new facilities to be placed. Zoom out of the map and rotate it into an overhead plan view for the best overall view of your land and potential upgrades.
Now move your mouse around the areas surrounding your Campus and when you get to one that you can buy it will have a dotted line appear around it.
You can do all of this while the game is paused to make sure nothing is going on elsewhere that you need to be keeping an eye on.
Now click on the area of land and you will be given some details about its cost and building time. Select the option to purchase it and it will java a construction fence placed around it and work will begin. If nothing happens, remember to double-check that you have unpaused the game - that caught us out for a second, the purchase will not proceed while the game is in Pause mode.
Now you simply have to wait until construction is complete and you will then be able to place new rooms and other facilities into your shiny new block. You can click on your Plot and edit it’s name - say you wanted to name it after a famous person or your favorite student, or even just call it Science Block 1 to help you keep track of it.
