Shinjuku

Pluto certainly has an interesting-looking castle… and foot soldiers too.

As you try to leave the area via the northwest corner, a group of people will come to you, requesting that you defeat a demon found in Shibuya - their hometown - and avenge their loved ones. They will hand you a Rusted Key to use to enter the Terminal in Kasumigaseki. That mission, too, is in the quest cleanup above here.

Anyways, stock up and proceed into the overworld. Head southeast to the sandy area, south to a crater, and head east out of it to find a highway. Cross it heading eastward to find the spiky home of Pluto. (The demon, not the dog. Maybe.)

Pluto Castle: 1F

Within, you’ll find a bunch of those “???” enemies. Turns out they’re Pluto Soldiers. Defeat the Horde they make and move on. Head north and northwest, then go along the path northeast. In the next room, you’ll find a 3-Star Jewelry nearby, plus a transporter to the north. Use it.

Pluto Castle: 2F

Head east and along the path. As you walk southward, keep a close eye on the map; there is a path heading north that you can go along that converges with this almost invisibly. You can drop into the hole at the end.

Pluto Castle: 1F

Grab the 10-Point Card and Ma Incense in front of you. Of the three paths nearby, you can go along the untraversed southwestbound route.

You can break down some wormwood at the end if you need a quick way back to the start. Return to where you dropped down and head northwest and break down that wormwood and go back up.

Pluto Castle: 2F

Go east and along the path again. This time, go south at the convergence to find a room with some relic in the center; grab it and you’ll find it to be a 4-Star Jewelry . Head west and along the path to find a hole. Jump on down.

Pluto Castle: 1F

Grab the 4-Star Jewelry nearby, then ride the lift nearby.

Pluto Castle: 3F

Up and down and up and… If you don’t concentrate, it’s not hard to get a little lost.

Go along the path in front of you for a bit. In the next room, you’ll find some enemies blocking you, Pluto Warriors. You’ll be forced to fight them; not like they’re hard, more like Pluto Soldiers with 1,000 HP or so. Anyways, go northeast and use the lift.

Pluto Castle: 4F

On this floor, be ready to fight a lot of Pluto-type enemies. They’re all pretty simple, though - one use of Titanomachia usually wins the fight. Go down the hole at the end.

Pluto Castle: 2F

Another case of “follow the linear path”. When you do come to the room with the hole in it, go past it; it is just really a trap. Later, you’ll find a Balm of Rising in a chest. Exit that room to the northeast and go down the hole in the next room.

Pluto Castle: 1F

Go north into the next room upon landing to find another unknown enemy, the Pluto Giant. Again, just Pluto Soldier with more HP. Defeat them and use the lift.

Pluto Castle: 3F

Go into the next room and use the lift.

Pluto Castle: 4F

Go into the next room for a Bead Chain , then a 3-Star Jewelry , then a hole to jump into.

Pluto Castle: 3F

Go into the next room and use the lift.

Pluto Castle: 4F

Go into the hole in the next room.

Pluto Castle: B1F

Save and heal, then go forward and through the door.

Boss: Pluto

**Level** **Race** **Weakness** **Resistance** **Nullifies**
59 Tyrant Ice N/A Fire (Drain), Gun (Drain)

During the battle, you are told to think about how this thing is sent by God, and therefore the poisoning of Tokyo by this machine is the will of God. Walter opts to think not too hard on this and asks if you agree.

  • Alignment -1 = Quite so
  • Alignment +1 = It does beat consideration
After the battle, go forward, use the lift.

Pluto Castle: 3F

Go east and break down the wormwood, then jump into the hole.

Pluto Castle: 1F

Open the chest in front of you for a Bead of Life . Open the wormwood to the northeast, then go into the room there, head southwest, then exit the area to the south. Backtrack now to Shinjuku.

Shinjuku

Good man. Now it’s time to head to the reactor… again!

Inside the shelter, go downstairs and into the room right in front of you. There, you’ll be thanked and the quest will be officially done, netting you the Yamato Remote and something like 164,000 EXP. Jesus… So to speak.

(I will note that the Challenge Quest “Death on Wings” will be available now to those playing a New Game+ game. To do it, go to Ikebukuro and into the overworld to find Azrael northeast of the ruins. He is weak to Ice, resists Physical and Fire, and has about 2,500 HP.)
