Audio Logs are one of the collectibles in the game and appear as floating waveforms. They give some background and insight into both major and minor characters that appeared in the game. There’s Audio Logs for a total of 13 characters, with each one of them having a total of three Audio Logs, making a total of 39 across the entire game.
When you first pick up the Audio Log, it will play the contents, but you can also replay it on the ship. Additionally, collecting each one will get you 100 Respect, as well as 1,000 Cache.
The Audio Logs are easy to spot, since most are out in the open and they’re large enough to see.
It’s best to wait until you rescue Matt Miller during the story mission, Matt’s Back , to start collecting the Audio Logs. This is because his side missions unlock upon completing that mission and the reward for his first one, The Pledge , is the Collectible Finder. This pinpoints the location of ALL collectibles on your map.
Whenever you look at your map from the HUB, you will see that you can select Collectibles on the big map, which will highlight all of them and make them easier to find. The Audio Logs use icons that are related to that character’s Audio Log, so Kinzie’s Audio Logs will be shown on the map as Kinzie’s face.
