One Piece Odyssey Multiplayer¶

Whether One Piece Odyssey is your first JRPG or you a veteran of the genre you probably want to know if you will be playing it alone, or whether you should get some friends along for the ride.

Well, this turn-based Anime extravaganza is (unfortunately) a totally single-player experience, which you may or may not see as a downside. For us, these days there aren’t enough great single-player experiences that you can play with the pressure off in your own time, without having to coral everybody around at the same time and place, so we see it as a positive, but we guess some fans may feel a bit disappointed that they won’t be able to experience the world of the Straw Hat Pirates with their friends and family this around.

Of course, we have also had great fun while playing the game - discussing tactics and strategies with the rest of the Gamer Guides crew - just because it is a single player game shouldn’t hold you back from working out the best way to play with your One Piece friends.

How Many One Piece Odyssey Games Have Been Released?¶

There have been over 15 One Piece videogames produced for mainstream consoles and gaming systems over the year but countless others if you want to include handheld games for machines such as the Gameboy and the (less popular in the west Bandai Wonderswan. Most recently we have had One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, as recently as 2020 for all the major systems, including the Nintendo Switch, which One Piece Odyssey will not be making an appearance on.
