Things you must do in Animal Crossing at least once: eat a Famous mushroom.

Mushrooms will grow around unusual tree stumps. Mushrooms can be sold for bells or eaten. Be warned, some mushrooms will have…side effects.

You can create tree stumps simply by chopping down trees with your axe; each time you create a stump, there’s a small chance you’ll get an unusual pattern.

If you have the Silver Axe (a rare item from Tortimer Island), the chance of an unusual pattern is unusually high!
