As you explore the initial area in No Rest For The Wicked you will find a locked door in the north-west, above the large body of water. Requiring the Western Bridge Key, you may be curious how early you can actually get the key and explore what is behind the door.

Thankfully, the answer is as soon as you get to Sacrament and grab The Innkeeper’s Husband quest, you will be able to unlock the door. Here is how you can get the Western Bridge Key in No Rest For The Wicked. Be prepared for a more challenging trip back through The Shallows.

Opening the Locked Door in The Shallows¶

The Western Bridge Key can be found in the far west of The Shallows, the first area in the game. You can climb up the tower to visit the husband during The Innkeeper’s Husband quest and he will tell you that he is stuck, giving you a key to help free him from the other side of the bridge he is on.

From there you can go back to the door requiring the Western Bridge Key and open it. This area will then loop all the way around back to the husband, who will thank you for helping him - completing the quest.

Climb up the tower to get to the husband. You will need to walk around the edge of the base of the tower to enter from the back.

That covers how you can get the key and subsequently complete The Innkeeper’s Husband quest. This area houses some more challenging enemies with bigger health bars, more devastating attacks, and longer combos, so be sure to incorporate the strategies you have learnt so far when it comes to combat, be careful and don’t get greedy or you can easily end up dead from just one string of attacks from an enemy.
