Much of the first Scene revolves around finding where Journey Atkins is.

Who is Journey Atkins?¶

Once you start Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong for the first time, you’ll be introduced to one of the main characters, Emem, along with Journey Atkins, who appears to be a close friend of Emem’s. Throughout this scene, you’ll learn that the code red that’s currently in effect throughout Boston is related to the party that Journey hosted and as such, is under suspicion.

The whole of the first scene, especially when playing as Emem, revolves around this dynamic and the pressing question, what will you do when you find her? Will you give her up and hand her over to the Prince or will you help your friend?

Where to find Journey Atkins?¶

Emem will need to track down Journey first before she even gets to make the decision in the first place. There are several clues scattered around the Prince’s Quarters that will lead you to her location, but ultimately, you’ll need to make your way upstairs to the apartments found there. Head through to where the Archives Room is and then take a left, through the offices and instead of going through to see April, go left again and you’ll find stairs leading up.

From here, you’ll want to head forward and then go through the left door to reach the apartments. The first apartment you approach will be that of Journey Atkins, but beware, going through it will trigger the end of the scene and the choice that this page covers so be sure that you’ve done everything else you can in the Prince’s Quarters as Emem. Based on what you choose here will start a series of choices.
