The Forest Giant’s primary use, as you’ve no doubt guessed, is in the creation of Forests. The Forest Giant is also the source of Food plants and can upgrade plants in a number of ways through his two Aspect abilities. The forest Giant’s Fertilise power is also a handy early game tool.

Power 1 - Raise Forest

  • Creates a Forest spanning 13 Tiles, assuming the ground has been fertilised by a nearby Ocean.
  • Cooldown: Instant

Power 2 - Fruit Plant

  • Creates Plants that generate Food
  • Cooldown: 30 Seconds
  • Level 1: Free
  • Level 2: 1 Forest and 1 (Any) Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 2 Forest and 2 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 3 - Leaf Aspect

  • Upgrades Plants with a Leaf Aspect
  • Adds Tech and Natura to Plants
  • Cooldown: Instant
  • Level 1: Free
  • Level 2: 1 Swamp and 1 (Any) Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 1 Swamp, 1 Forest and 2 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 4 - Fruit Aspect

  • Upgrades Plants with a Fruit Aspect
  • Adds Food to Plants
  • Cooldown: Instant
  • Level 1: 1 Forest Ambassador
  • Level 2: 2 Forest Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 3 Forest and 1 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 5 - Hunt Aspect

  • Upgrades Animals with a Hunt Aspect
  • Adds Food and danger to Animals
  • Cooldown: Instant
  • Level 1: 1 Desert Ambassador
  • Level 2: 2 Desert Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 2 Desert and 2 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 6 - Fertility Boost

  • Upgrades Tile with a Fertility Boost which causes aspects to have a better effect.
  • Cooldown: 1 min
  • Level 1: Free
  • Level 2: 1 Desert and 1 (Any) Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 1 Desert, 1 Forest and 2 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 7 - Migrate

  • Allows the Forest Giant to ‘move’ resources from one tile to another tile of the same type.
  • Level 1: 1 Swamp Ambassador
  • Level 2: 2 Swamp Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 2 Swamp and 1 (Any) Ambassadors

Choosing Ambassadors

To unlock all his abilities the Forest Giant would need 3 Forest Ambassadors, 2 Desert Ambassadors and 2 Swamp ambassadors. Forest is the type most prominent across all upgrades, so it’s recommended that you nab one of them first. Where you look next depends on what you’re upgrading as a Desert ambassador would open the Hunt Aspect (and upgrade your fertilize ability) but a Swamp Ambassador would upgrade Leaf Aspect.

The Migrate ability should not dictate your decision and, in truth, can be largely ignored. With that in mind, one Swamp Ambassador can be cut off the required list, meaning you’re after 3 Forest, 2 Desert and 1 Swamp to make the most of the Forest Giant.
