Bannerlord Social Perks: Leadership

The Leadership perk tree allows you to improve the effectiveness of your troops and the security of your settlements. You can choose perks which correspond to your playstyle, such as ’Inspiring Attacker or ‘Star Defender’ at level 50, allowing you to improve troop morale when attacking or defending. At level 75 you can choose whether to increase the security in your towns, or increase the loyalty of your subjects. More broadly, you can reduce the cost of upkeep for your troops in the early or late game, improve the discipline of all troops and their rate of XP gain, and transfer bandits into troops.

Leadership Perk Skill Levels:

Skill Level 25:

  • Combat Tips:

(Party Leader) +2 XP per day to all troops in party
(Party Leader) Increase recruit level of units who share your culture

  • Raise the Meek:

(Party Leader) +4 XP per day to tier 1-2 troops
(Governor) Each troop in the garrison gains +3 XP per day

Skill Level 50:

  • Fervent Attacker:

(Party Leader) Additional 4 morale at the beginning of the battle when you are attacking
(Party Leader) Increase the rate of recruiting tier 1-2-3 prisoners by 50%

  • Stout Defender:

(Party Leader) Additional 8 morale at the beginning of the battle when you are defending
(Party Leader) Increase the rate of recruiting tier 4-5-6 prisoners by 50%

Skill Level 75:

  • Authority:

(Governor) Town garrison security is 20% more effective
(Party Leader) Increase the party size limit by +5

  • Heroic Leader:

(Governor) +1 town loyalty per day
(Captain) Troops in your formation cause 10% more morale penalty when they kill an enemy

Skill Level 100:

  • Famous Commander:

(Personal) Increase renown gain from battles by 50%
(Personal) Recruited troops start with bonus experience of 200 XP

  • Loyalty and Honor:

(Party Leader) Tier 3+ troops under your command ignore retreat due to low morale
(Party Leader) Convert non-bandit prisoners 30% faster

Skill Level 125:

  • Leader of the Masses:

(Clan Leader) Increase party size by +5 for each town you control
(Party Leader) Heroes generate shared experience

  • Presence:

(Personal) Increase +5 security in a town per day while waiting
(Party Leader) Remove morale penalty for recruiting prisoners of your faction

Skill Level 150:

  • Citizen Militia:

(Governor) Militia has 20% chance to spawn with more experienced troops
(Party Leader) Increased morale gain from victories by 20%

  • Veteran’s Respect:

(Governor) Increase garrison size by 20
(Party Leader) You are able to convert bandits into regular troops

Skill Level 175:

  • Inspiring Leader:

(Army Commander) 20% less influence needed to call parties to army
(Captain) Troops in your formation gain 5% more experience from battles

  • Uplifting Spirit:

(Party Leader) Increase battle morale by +10 during siege assaults and defense
(Party Leader) Party size limit increased by +10

Skill Level 200:

  • Lead by Example:

(Party Leader) Increase the rate of recruiting melee prisoners by 50%
(Party Leader) Cavalry troops generate 10% more shared experience

  • Make a Difference:

(Personal) Your kills have 100% higher effect on friendly troops’ battle morale
(Party Leader) Archer troops generate 10% more shared experience

Skill Level 225:

  • Great Leader:

(Army Commander) At the beginning of a battle, the morale of all your troops is increased by 5
(Party Leader) Troops with same culture as the party leader have their battle morale increased by 5 at the start of the battle

  • Trusted Commander:

(Party Leader) Increase the rate of recruiting ranged prisoners by 50%
(Party Leader) Troop experience gain while fighting in simulated battles are increased by 20%

Skill Level 250:

  • Talent Magnet:

(Personal) Add 3 focus points to 3 random clan members when you get this perk
(Clan Leader) +1 party capacity for your kingdom

  • We Pledge our Swords:

(Personal) +1 companion capacity for your party
(Party Leader) Each tier 6 troop increases party battle morale by 1, up to 10 at the start of battle

Skill Level 275:

  • Ultimate Leader:

(Party Leader) Every skill increase after 250 gives you +1 party size
