A very capable colonel is set to move into Smasei Fort and you need to stop him. He is also bringing a tank unit with him, but there is no clue when or how this will happen, although there may be some documentation near the colonel. You’re going to need some explosive weaponry of some kind for this mission, whether it be C4, a grenade launcher or something else, so develop something and either grab it before starting the mission, or call it in during it (C4 is one of the better options).

Right outside of Sakhra Ee Village, find the road leading southeast and plant four C4 (all in one spot, next to each other), call in some more and do it again a little more southeast of the first bunch. If you’ve brought a grenade launcher, it will be good for a secondary weapon, but the primary focus will be on the C4 (don’t forget to replenish your supply after planting the two bunches).

Inside this building is a prisoner (left) and nearby is some intel (right) about the tanks’ location.

Your first objective is to go to Sakhra Ee Village, find the colonel and “eliminate” him, while also getting the deployment plans. This village is built on a hill and the eastern of the two LZs will have you going up the hill. At night, there will be a spotlight on the first house straight ahead, so you’ll need to be careful it doesn’t see you. There’s also a prisoner inside of that same building, so rescue him when the coast is clear.

The deployment papers are located in a building in the middle of the village, where the yellow marker is pointing (if you’ve interrogated an enemy). As soon as you pick them up, the tanks will deploy and the commander will show up as well, being escorted by the very same tanks! Hopefully you listened and put down some C4 on the road, which should now be marked with a white line, similar to the routes the commanders took in Red Brass.

There’s two tanks, which are separated by the colonel in a truck in the middle. After grabbing the papers, rush down to where you planted the C4 and hide somewhere along the side of the road, where they won’t notice you. Detonate the first batch whenever the first tank rolls over it, which should either blow it up or incapacitate it. This should trigger the truck with the colonel to speed off towards Smasei Fort, while the other tank will probably look around for a bit before continuing its set path.

When the second tank reaches the second batch of C4, detonate them to take it out. Note that if the tanks survive the explosions, you can sneak up behind whichever way their turret is pointing and use more C4 to destroy them for good. With those out of the way, it’s time to head towards the final objective in this mission, the colonel, who is probably either already at Smasei or getting close.

If you have the Cargo 2 upgrade, simply place a diversion (left) on the route and once they move again, sneak up behind them and extract (right).

Take the one path you’ve used before to the ledge overlooking the fort area, where you can mark all of the enemies. Depending on the position of the colonel, this can be simple or challenging. As an example, the colonel was close to the cliff for us, allowing an easy method of luring him close enough with empty magazines, then shooting him with a tranq dart and extracting him. However you do it, leave the hot zone as normal upon extraction to finish the mission.

Mission Task 6

Since you’re infiltrating Sakhra Ee Village to find the deployment plans at the beginning, it’s the best chance to go after the prisoner being held there. If you wait until you have D-Dog, then he will pinpoint the prisoner’s location; otherwise, you will have to interrogate an enemy.

Mission Tasks 5 & 7

You will have to wait until you get the Cargo 2 upgrade to your Fulton Device before you can extract the tanks. This is also a good time to grab the colonel/tanks before they reach Smasei Fort, since extracting them is much quicker than destroying them.
