There are a number of collectibles to gather in Kao the Kangaroo, with Scrolls being one of them. Scrolls will give you some lore to read about the game’s world, such as the characters and enemies you come across. This page will detail the Scroll you find in The Dark Forest.

Drop down to this spot with the second set of dark crystals for the first Scroll

During the course of The Dark Forest, you will learn about these dark crystals that you can strike to enter the Eternal World. After the first set of them, you will encounter a second set that requires you to jump and strike the crystals with your aerial attack. When you hit the first dark crystal here, if you look to the side, you will see a platform that leads downward. Follow this platform and the Scroll will be on a small platform right next to the initial ledge before the first dark crystal.

The second Scroll will be at the top of the platforms by the first Eternal Well

At some point during the level, you will eventually run into a group of Frogsters that are enjoying some music. This is the same point where you are also introduced to the Range Frogster enemy. After clearing all of the enemies here, look for the path on the side that requires a bunch of platforming. This will also lead you to the first Eternal Well of the game. Near that Well, there will be some more platforming, past the two treacherous swinging fishes and at the top, you will find the Scroll next to a chest.
