A clever fiend of some sort’s been preying on my livestock of late, and if I can’t put a stop to it, my farm’s doomed. Seems clear a run-of-the-mill hunter won’t cut it, so I’m in the market for a merc with solid tracking skills.

Livestock’s Bane is a Side Quest available in Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which unfolds in the "Grasslands" iconGrasslands region.

How to Start / Where to Find

The quest can be initiated by accessing the Community Noticeboard in Kalm after obtaining a Chocobo in Chapter 2.

Mission Overview:

The quest entails assisting a farmer on Oliver’s Farm in dealing with a monster that is attacking livestock.

Objectives:

  1. The Farmer’s Request
  2. Investigate the Scene of the "Attack" iconAttack
  3. Search the Area with a Chocobo
  4. Continue Tracking the Perpetrator
  5. Defeat the Fiend
  6. Report to "Oliver" iconOliver

Additional Information

  • Upon accepting the quest, the player must speak to the farmer on Oliver’s Farm, who is seeking assistance in eliminating the livestock-threatening monster.
  • "Red XIII" iconRed XIII initially attempts to pick up the monster’s scent at the scene of the attack but fails, suggesting the use of a Chocobo instead.
  • The player must summon their Chocobo and follow its scent trail to track down the perpetrator.
  • If the scent trail is lost, the player can regain it by pressing the corresponding button.
  • Ultimately, the player must confront and defeat the "White Terror" iconWhite Terror, the creature responsible for the livestock attacks.
  • After defeating the White Terror, the player should return to "Oliver" iconOliver’s Farm and report their success to complete the Side Quest.
