Introduction

Where the Wind Blows is a Side Quest available in Chapter 2 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which takes place in the Grasslands region.

How to Start / Where to Find

The quest becomes available after completing the A Rare Card Lost and Livestock’s Bane quests from the Community Noticeboard in Kalm. Players can return to the same location to pick up Where the Wind Blows.

Mission Overview:

The quest involves assisting Broden, who requests the player’s help in aiding Mildred with a windmill repair task in the Grasslands.

Objectives:

1. Broden’s Request
2. Speak with Mildred
3. Procure Materials
4. Deliver the Windmill Gear
5. Report to Broden

Additional Information

• After accepting the Side Quest from Broden, players must speak to Mildred at the Windmill Settlement east of Kalm to learn about the repair task.
• To complete the task, players must procure the Windmill Gear Transmuter Chip, which requires completing Expedition Intel activities to reveal its location.
• The final material needed, the Quetzalcoatl Talon, is obtained by defeating a rare bird, which is revealed as a Classified Intel activity after completing specific Expedition Intel activities.
• After acquiring all necessary parts, players must craft the Windmill Gear using the Item Transmuter and deliver it to Mildred.
• Upon fixing the windmill, players should return to Broden in Kalm to conclude the Side Quest.
