Threads of Envy Scosglen Side Quest

Objectives

• Meet Roina at Eternal Watch
  Head for the far north of Scosglen, due east of Hope’s Light and meet Roina there.

• Enter the Mithering Descent

As part of the quest, you will enter a mini dungeon that only appears for this questline.

• Search for the Water Wight
  The dungeon is largely filled with Drowned type enemies but is fairly linear so you should have no trouble finding the next point.

• Speak with Roina
  At the end of the dungeon, you will find what Roina was looking for. Speak to her to learn what happened.

• Defeat the Sodden Effigy
  After the cutscene, you must defeat the Effigy once and for all. Kill the enemies that it tethers until it becomes vulnerable to attack. Repeat until dead.

• Speak with Roina in Marowen
  Return to Marowen to complete the quest and receive your rewards.

For completing the quest, you will receive +20 Scosglen Renown and the Challenge for finishing the A Sodden Pact questline.

• This quest begins automatically after finishing the previous quest in the chain Untangling Truths.

In-Game Description

The wight ritual at Linnéad revealed a statue of the fiend and knowledge of its lair in the far north. It also spoke of a test-but that did not give Roina peace. I should meet Roina at the Eternal Watch. Together, we’ll put an end to the wight.

We’ve found the wight’s lair. The fiend hides deep beneath Eternal Watch, thriving in the murk. It’s time Roina and I put an end to the wight’s corruption.

Roina and I faced the wight, only to find that the creature was her mother - twisted by its corruption. Though we defeated the fiend, Roina is clearly troubled by the revelation. I should speak with her in Marowen and see how she’s faring.
