A Deepening Shadow Scosglen Side Quest

Objectives

• Search for Barret in the Dark Thicket

• Kill corrupted deer.
  Enter the center of the quest zone and some deer will spawn. Kill them to move to the next objective.

• Examine the area.
  First examine the chewed corpse, then the Broken Fence and finally the pool of magic.

• Find evidence of what happened to Barret.
  Travel to the next area to find Barret, a now corrupted bear, and slay him. He will drop Barret’s Corrupted Heart which you should take with you.

• Return to Shob’ha.
  Go back and tell Shob’ha of what happened to Barret which will end the quest and begin the next one The Old Ways.

In-Game Description

Shob’ha sent her familiar, Barret, to investigate a dark presence in the forest, but the creature has not returned.
She has asked me to search for signs of Barret in the Dark Thicket.

I found Barret twisted by wild magic into a thing of rage – like the other creatures in the Dark Thicket. I recovered the bear’s heart. Perhaps Shob’ha can get more useful information from it.
