After your first visit to the Castle, where you fought some bosses in the Coliseum, you end up going back to Sotenbori upon learning the whereabouts of Hanawa. You can find the building in the northeastern corner of the map, so take the taxi there and enter the specified doors. You will be greeted by some yakuza, who leave you with some thugs.
You will face Tsuruno while trying to rescue Hanawa.
The first order of business is defeating the eight enemies before you, some of which are wielding weapons, but it’s only pipes and bats. Once you’ve cleared the way, go through the door and look for the suitcase next to the stairs. As before, keep a lookout for these, as they tend to contain healing items. Go up the stairs and through the next door to be greeted by the first mini-boss.
Sakuma Mini-boss Guide¶
For the most part, Sakuma isn’t all too tough, nor really any different than most enemies. He tends to do mostly kicks for his attacks, with a punch here and there, as well as a random combo. Once you deplete one of his health bars, he’ll trigger his Heat and get a little more challenging. That’s because he’ll start tossing in some grabs into the mix, which you can’t block. However, if you keep up the usual boss tactic, you will be fine. Just make sure you don’t get hit by his ultimate attack, as it hurts a lot.
Follow the path to the next room, where you’ll come across another three normal enemies. One of these is using a hammer, so you might want to get rid of him first, but the other two aren’t wielding anything here. Keep going and in the next room, you’ll encounter the next mini-boss.

Yao Mini-boss Guide¶
He has more health than the other ones and is kind of a grappler, so you’ll need to be on your toes to avoid being grabbed. That means dodging is quite important here, as you cannot block the grabs. Of course, he has melee attacks, too, but these aren’t really a problem at all. His ultimate attack is a grab, by the way, so you can only dodge it completely or do an Ultimate Counter. As is the case with all ultimate attacks, they hurt a lot, so you want to avoid them.
As you journey to the next room, you will encounter some more foes, one of which has a gun. Unless you have a piece of armor with some bullet protection, it’s probably wise to go after that enemy first. Beyond that will be the next mini-boss.
Kubota Mini-boss Guide¶
Kubota will be wielding a crowbar, which hurts quite a bit when you get hit with it. His swings are also kind of wild, so they’re harder to avoid than they look. His ultimate attack can be a tricky one, as the first two swings aren’t the actual attack, but it’s the third one that will be the big hit. You do seem to take a very minor amount of damage with the other two swings, but it’s hardly worth getting out of the way of them.
Pass through the next door, go up the stairs and as you enter the following room, you’ll be ambushed by someone with a gun; he will be the next mini-boss.

Ukita Mini-boss Guide¶
Ukita is very annoying, as his gun will knock you down should you get hit with it. Using that knowledge, you will want to play a little cautiously here, because he will dodge quite often and try to take shots at you after that. If you have your Heat gauge full, you might want to use it here in this fight, just to make quicker work of the mini-boss. As is the case with all of the other enemies, he will go into Heat mode at half health and start using an ultimate attack.
After defeating the fourth mini-boss, continue down the hallway and check the side room here for three suitcases. If you have gear that can stop Bleed and/or Burn, feel free to equip it now, as that will help with Tsuruno. Follow the rest of the path and you will meet up with Tsuruno, and the battle will begin after a short scene.
How to Beat Yuki Tsuruno¶
Tsuruno will be wielding both a saw and a branding iron at the beginning of the battle, so that means two weapons that do two different ailments. In addition to this, he will have a few thugs with him, so your best bet is to take them out first. You should know that there’s another phase after this, although that one is a little bit easier. Most of the time, Tsuruno will be trying to hack at you with the saw, which can cause Bleed. He will sometimes do some pokes with the branding iron, but they don’t seem to do anything if part of a combo.
If he just pokes at you with it by itself, you can get Burn from it, which is pretty much the same as Bleed, but you’re on fire; Burn does seem to stun you for a little bit, though. There isn’t really a big strategy for this phase, as the usual quickstep-attack method works perfectly fine. Once you get his health to about half, a scene occurs and he will be disarmed. The second phase will begin, where he resorts to using his fists now. Of course, this means the usual Heat mode activation, along with starting to use ultimate attacks.

You may recall the first time you fought him, when he didn’t have a name. The same hook kicks will be shown off here, so you may have to dodge a little wider than usual. If you wanted, you could simply dodge all of the attacks and wait for the chance to use your Ultimate Counter, after which, you will have a brief window to get your own attacks in on him.
Overall, though, outside of the weapons being used in the first phase, the battle against Tsuruno isn’t really all too difficult. If you don’t have the ailment protection for the first phase, then you may need to use more healing items than normal. After the battle is over, there will be some scenes, then you can return to Sotenbori while you wait for the call from Hanawa.
