Untouchable Trophy/Achievement Guide - Like A Dragon Gaiden

By
Jarrod Garripoli

One of the many trophies and achievements in Like A Dragon Gaiden is called Untouchable. This one will require you to perform five Ultimate Counters throughout the entire game. This page will tell you how to do this move, as well as how to unlock the trophy/achievement.

You’ll unlock the ability to do Ultimate Counters early in the game.

How to Unlock the Untouchable Trophy/Achievement

The Ultimate Counter is a move you will unlock fairly early in the game, but it’s one that is situational and can’t be used all the time. You can only use the Ultimate Counter against the miniboss and boss-type enemies, which basically means those that have a health bar displayed at the bottom of your screen. Even then, it’s not guaranteed that these enemies will use something that will allow you to perform the Ultimate Counter.

Whenever one of these more formidable foes gets lower on health (some enemies can just do it right away), they will start having an ominous cloud around them. It basically looks like they are charging up a maneuver, which actually means they are doing such a thing. Upon seeing this, you will want to prepare by holding down the R1/RB button, which puts you into a stance (you should be utilizing this a lot more during normal combat). While doing that, wait for the enemy’s ultimate attack to start its motion, then dodge towards or away from the enemy.

(1 of 3) Major enemies will power up, with an aura emanating from them.

If done right, then you will basically parry that enemy’s ultimate attack, after which, you can press Circle/B to perform a counter. You will need to do this a total of five times to unlock the trophy/achievement. You might think that there are only limited chances to do this since there are only so many of the major enemies during the main story. However, you can fight some enemies in the Coliseum that will do these ultimate attacks, and you are privy to just doing those battles over and over if you want.

So, while the trophy/achievement might appear missable at a glance, it’s not really missable and you can easily do it at the arena. Remember that you need to do the actual counterattack for it to count. Once you do this a total of five times, you will finally unlock the trophy/achievement.
