This page offers a guide on how to complete Chapter 2-02 Doom of Banges in Tower of Fantasy.

Speak to Hilda¶

After your fight with Frigg and speaking to Hilda, follow her up the steps to Banges. When you arrive, you find the defenses are up suggesting danger is coming. You’ll need to sneak into Banges with Hilda and luckily she knows a secret passage. She’ll take you around, up a hill then between a wall and a brush into the area.

Defeat the Aidan Enemies¶

When you arrive, you’ll be spotted by several Aidan enemies: x3 zealots, x1 sniper and x1 quickshot sniper. You’ll first want to take out the Zealots as they’ll run at you and engage in close combat. Then you’ll want to equip your bow and shoot down the flying quickshot sniper before taking on the final Aidan Sniper.

After doing so, you’ll need to help the captured people and disable the electronic lock. Once you’ve spoken to Mars, you’ll need to head up and save the other residents too! They’ve all been captured using electronic locks. Speak to Coatl after freeing him to find out where Mr. Kolador is.

How to Defeat Swift¶

As you’ve been speaking to Coatl, you’ve drawn the attention of their leader Swift! Swift is a ninja-like character who fights along side several other sword fighters. Even though there’s a lot of them, focus on Swift and you’ll take a few out as collateral damage. Don’t worry about leaving a few of them alive as they don’t do a lot of damage and once you’ve defeated the 3 main bosses (Swift, Gelina and the Boar Brothers), they’ll all despawn anyway!

How to Defeat Gelina¶

Next on your hit list is Gelina. Run down to the horde of enemies and first take out Gelina who’s surrounded by snipers and zealots. The snipers are really weak in melee range so you can charge in and defeat a few of them in the process of fighting Gelina. Remember, the lesser enemies will despawn after fighting off the main bosses so just work on chunking them instead.

How to Defeat the Boar Brothers¶

And finally, you’ll need to go up against the Boar Brothers. They’re big burly men and will put up much more of a fight but if you dodge attacks and trigger phantasia you’ll be able to whittle them down using discharge attacks. Their attacks are slow so you’ll be able to anticipate them and dodge quite easily.

You can also disengage slightly and shoot at them with your bow if you’re taking too much damage in melee combat.

After defeating all the bosses, the other enemies will despawn and you can speak to Hilda again. She’ll tell you to head into Banges Tech HQ to rescue Kolador and his son Theo.

Infiltrating Banges Tech HQ¶

When you first arrive inside Banges Tech HQ, you’ll be caught by some guards and thrown into a locked room with Koh. Koh will first ask you to fix the wiring in the room to unlock the door. After you’ve done that, a guard will come check in on you and you’ll need to defeat him. He uses a gun so he isn’t particuarly useful in close combat fighting, which is what you’ll likely be doing in this small room. You’ll be able to make light work of him pretty quickly since it’s just him and he doesn’t put up much of a fight.

Next, you’ll be told by Koh to infiltrate the HQ by dressing up as an Heir of Aida guard. Interact with the guard’s body to put on your disguise! Head out the room and try to avoid the red cones as you’ll be stopped by other guards. You also have a Disguise Countdown and once the timer is up you’ll be forced to fight your way through. Luckily the timer is plenty of time so long as you don’t dilly dally!

The first room you’ll want to explore in your disguise is the first room on the left after the blocked off set of stairs. Inside, you’ll find Leon and he’ll give you his key card to turn off the surveillance on the stairs so you can proceed up to find Kolador and Theo.

After talking with him, return outside (mind the guards!) and head into the next room on the left. Interact with the surveillance to bring down the security. Head up the stairs and follow the hall round to the right.

How to Tranquilize the Dogs¶

Once the dogs spot you, your timer is going to start going down faster. Every few seconds or so, you’ll lose an extra 5 seconds off your timer so you’ll want to work quickly! First, find the anaesthetics you’ll need to knock the dogs out. They can be found in the room on the lefthand side of the hallway.

Once you have the anaesthetics, head back into the hallway and around the corner to find the chef. Tell him you need to feed the dogs and he’ll tell you there’s some meet to the side. Dose the meat with the anaesthetic, pick it up and then speak to the Chef again. After, place the food in the dogs bowl just outside the kitchen area. Once that’s done your timer should stop going down as quickly.

Head back out into the hall and interact with the door that the hounds had been guarding before they’d caught your scent. After witnessing a brief cutscene you’ll need to run back down the hall and head into the room on the right. Here, you’ll find Theo being held captive. He can’t go with you right now as he’s too weak, but he tells you that Kolador is being interrogated downstairs in the basement.

You can reach the basement via the stairs heading down from the corridor. You’ll pass into a new area with loads of guards but you can pass undetected by avoiding their red cones. You’ll need to head to the surveillance barricade on the righthand side. It’s being guarded by more Heirs of Aida but you can slip past their red cones if you hug the wall.

Interact with the surveillance barricade to disable it, then pass down the stairs to find Kolador. Before you can set him free from the electronic lock, you’ll need to take out the two Aida enemies guarding him.

After doing so, you’ll be able to free Kolador and speak with him. Your final test in Banges Tech HQ will be to escape!

How to Escape Banges Tech HQ¶

Before you can escape, you’ll need to defeat 6 Heirs of Aida guards that come rushing down the stairs. Naturally, fighting 6 guys at once will be a bit tougher than your typical fight but make sure you don’t head up the stairs as you’ll attract more enemies to the battle.

Try to trigger as many phantasias as you can and swap your weapons whenever you fill the discharge bar so you can unleash powerful discharge attacks on them. A lot of the elemental and discharge attacks do big AoE damage so it’ll help you whittle down the enemies quicker.

Once the 6 have been dealt with, you’ll be able to run through Banges Tech HQ to escape. Whatever you do, don’t stop to fight anymore enemies! It isn’t required and it certainly isn’t recommended! Just follow the blue markers all the way to the exit, you can run straight past the enemies and once you’re outside they’ll lose aggro.

After escaping Banges Tech HQ, you’ll be greeted by Franz and this will conclude Chapter 2-02.
