Phase 1: Blue Moldorm¶
Unlike the N64 version, you don’t get the Giant’s Mask right at the start.
The battle is a two part fight, the first part is against the Blue Moldorm. The platform in the middle isn’t a safe place to stand but it has some jars for Arrows and Magic so it’s useful.
The Blue Moldorm has some eyes on it’s underbelly, three to be exact. Shoot all of them with your Hero’s Bow and the creature will crash to the sand and reveal it’s weak spot.
Hit the giant eyeball with some Light Arrows and it will take off again, this time with five eyes on it’s underbelly. Shoot all five of these and hit the weak spot once more to defeat the Blue Moldorm.
Phase 2: Red Moldorm¶
Pick up one of the nearby boulders and launch it at Moldorm for an instant KO.
As you transition to this phase a chest appears on the platform, open it for the Giant’s Mask . Don the mask and notice that it slowly drains your magic. The pillars and pots will help regenerate your magic if you didn’t get a Chateau Romani for this three-day cycle.
The objective here is to punch the Moldorm until it collapses then smash it’s head a few times, repeating this cycle four times to defeat it. The Red Moldorm shoots fireballs and summons minions however, so it’s not a cakewalk.
The minions will release hearts or magic so defeat them to recover your meters. There is a boulder in this area, you can use it to throw at the Red Moldorm and instantly knock it out – this is the recommended method of victory.
Collect the Heart Piece and Twinmold Remains . Afterward you’ll get a scene of the final Guardian.
